Atlas Preparatory Academy is a participant in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program and the Wisconsin Parental Choice program, helping provide educational opportunities for all families.

Ready to get your child’s educational journey started with us? Here is how to begin!

First, see if you qualify for the school choice program by clicking this link: https://dpi.wi.gov/parental-education-options/choice-programs/student-applications

If you have already created an account, you can simply add Atlas Preparatory Academy to your list of schools.

Here are some quick tips to get you started:

  • If you are a first time applicant, you will need proof of income. There are two options for this:
    • DPI method, which will require income statements/tax documents for the previous year, this includes any government assistance received during that time period. If you received cash, or did not have any income, you can make statements explaining how you made ends meet.
    • DOR method, is much simpler, in that it only requires you to enter your social security number. From there, the Department of Revenue will check your income and communicate to the Department of Instruction if you qualify for the choice program.
  • Once your information is in, make sure you select Atlas Preparatory Academy from your choice of schools. You may choose any other school you are interested in as well, this will not disqualify you, or change the terms of your application.

The Private School Choice Program is not affiliated with Atlas Preparatory Academy, or any other private school. Schools are not allowed to deny applications based on choices of potential school. If you suspect a school is challenging your application based off other schools added to your list you can contact DPI at: PrivateSchoolChoice@dpi.wi.gov. Keep in mind, as we are not associated with DPI, we can not see the status of your messages.

If you need help with the application you can visit our central office 1039 E Russell Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53207 and we walk you through the process. You can set up an appointment by calling (414) 385-0771. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged.

Once your DPI application is done, you will need to fill out an orientation package at the central office.
